Hardware

Hardware that is ready out of the box.

EMV, tap-to-pay, countertop terminals, mobile readers, and smart POS, programmed to your merchant account before they ship. Keep compatible hardware or upgrade without a setup weekend.

The wrong hardware is not just annoying. It forces keyed transactions, slows dinner rush, and quietly pushes your effective rate up. The right setup is the cheapest way to take cards in person, and it only works when someone programs it to your account before you flip the switch.

Match the device to how you actually sell

Use this as a quick map. Your specialist still sizes the final kit based on volume, locations, and tip flow.

How you sellUsually start withWhy
Single fixed registerCountertop terminalLowest friction for daily chip and tap volume.
Table-side or line-bustingMobile reader or wireless terminalKeep the line moving without dragging customers to one counter.
Full menu + kitchen flowSmart POS systemWhen modifiers, tabs, and reporting matter as much as the swipe.
Pop-up or seasonal siteMobile readerFast deploy; reprogram when you move processors, not when you move tents.

Illustrative pairings. Hybrid setups (counter plus mobile) are common for restaurants and retail.

Card-present discipline

Dip or tap whenever you can. Hand-keyed and card-not-present tiers cost more on the same sale. Hardware that makes tap the default pays for itself in interchange alone.
2The lineup

Terminals and POS we deploy every week

Each profile below uses a real in-environment photo matched to the device class: fixed countertop, mobile reader, full touchscreen POS, and handheld wireless. Every unit can ship pre-programmed to your merchant account.

Countertop terminal

The fixed-checkout workhorse: chip, contactless, and printed receipts in one dependable unit.

  • Dip, tap, or swipe with full EMV
  • Built-in printer for customer and merchant copies
  • Ethernet or Wi-Fi, tuned to your counter layout

Best for: Restaurants, retail counters, medical front desks, salons with a single checkout lane.

Mobile reader

Pocket-sized acceptance that pairs to your phone or tablet for line-busting and curbside.

  • Lightweight chip and contactless reader
  • Works with iOS and Android payment apps
  • Ideal as a second lane during rush hours

Best for: Food trucks, markets, home services, pop-ups, and backup readers at busy stores.

Smart POS system

Inventory, modifiers, reporting, and card acceptance on one bright touchscreen.

  • Menu and SKU management in one place
  • Kitchen or back-office reporting hooks
  • Staff permissions and shift reporting

Best for: Full-service restaurants, quick-service, and retail that need more than a basic terminal.

Wireless terminal

Untethered acceptance in the parking lot, on the lot, or anywhere Ethernet is a pain.

  • Cellular backup when Wi-Fi is unreliable
  • Long battery for full service shifts
  • Same security stack as wired terminals

Best for: Food trucks, stadium vendors, outdoor events, and mobile repair crews invoicing on site.

From approval to first live swipe

01

Tell us how you sell

Counter, mobile, tabs, tips, invoices, and locations. We size hardware to your actual flow, not a generic bundle.

02

We program before ship

Devices leave our shop loaded to your merchant ID, batch times, and tip settings so day one is plug-and-pay.

03

Test and go live

Run a live test transaction with our team on the line. If something drifts later, the same humans help you fix it.

Already own terminals?

Bring us the model and processor. If the device is compatible, we reprogram what you have instead of selling you a duplicate stack. When new EMV and tap hardware is the right move, we say so plainly.
4Security

Same protection stack on every device

Countertop or wireless, every path uses point-to-point encryption, EMV, and tokenization where stored cards matter. Your PCI scope stays smaller when raw card data never sits on your network.

  • Encrypted from swipe, dip, or tap through settlement
  • EMV and contactless on every device we deploy
  • Tokens for recurring and saved cards, not live PANs in your files

5Rates and support

Hardware is only half the job

Great terminals with bloated processing still bleed margin. We pair equipment with interchange-aware setup, statement reviews, and humans who answer when a reader dies mid-shift.

The bottom line

  • Pick hardware for your selling motion: fixed counter, mobile, full POS, or untethered wireless.
  • Devices ship programmed to your account; compatible existing gear can often be reprogrammed.
  • Tap and chip beat keyed entry on cost, every shift.
  • Security stack matches our Trust Center: encryption, EMV, tokenization.
  • Pair terminals with in-person processing and dedicated support for rates plus live help.

Common questions

Often, yes. If your devices are compatible with our processing platform, we reprogram them to your new account instead of forcing a hardware swap. When new gear makes sense, we recommend EMV and tap-to-pay units and configure them before they leave our shop.
