Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

Gateway Financial is committed to making gatewayfinancial.io accessible to people with disabilities. We design, build and test the site with accessibility in mind, and we keep improving it.

Standard we follow

Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We consider the site partially conformant: parts of it do not yet fully meet the standard. The known gaps are listed below.

What we have done

• A "Skip to content" link, a main content landmark, and a declared page language for screen readers.
• Full keyboard access to the main navigation. Menus open with Enter or Space, close with Escape, and return focus to where you were.
• Visible focus indicators on links, buttons and form fields.
• Form fields with programmatic labels, required fields marked, and errors announced to screen readers. Focus moves to the first field that needs attention.
• Text and captions checked against WCAG color contrast ratios on our dark backgrounds.
• Text alternatives for meaningful images. Decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
• Respect for your device’s reduce-motion setting: background animation and motion effects are switched off.
• A unique title on every page, and layouts that reflow on phones and when text is enlarged.

Known limitations

• Third-party assistants and tools. The chat and voice assistants, the Ask AI chat and the booking calendar come from outside providers. Their accessibility depends partly on those providers, and some controls inside them may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. Every task they support can also be done by phone or email.
• Documents and uploads. Some documents, including partner forms and agreements, may not be fully accessible. We can provide the information another way on request.
• Partner websites. Processor, equipment and software websites we link to are not under our control.

Alternative ways to work with us

You never have to use the website to work with us. A specialist can:

• review your statement;
• complete your application with you over the phone;
• send information in another format you need.

Compatibility

The site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on desktop and mobile. It is also designed to work with common assistive technologies, including screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA and JAWS, screen magnifiers, and voice control. It may not work as well with older browsers.

How we assess the site

We check accessibility through our own reviews, automated testing, keyboard-only testing and screen reader spot checks when we make significant changes. This statement reflects the site as of the date above.

Tell us about any barrier you run into, and include the page address and what you were trying to do. We aim to respond within two business days. We will work with you to provide the information or service another way while we fix the issue.
